Roundhill Barn is a memorable, quiet rural location suited to celebration, reflection, transformative conversations, memorials, workshops and a range of creative and artistic purposes. It’s off-grid, with private borehole and renewable energy system.
The courtyard in front of the barn is 360 sq m. For large events you can put marquees on the courtyard or grassed area above the barn to accommodate parties of up to 200 guests.
Internal floor space is 87m² (see floorplan). Capacity inside the barn is 120 (up to 85 seated for a meal).
It's a flexible space. You can set it out for small boardroom-style awayday meetings, or have caterers set it out for formal dining for up to 85 seated guests.
It has an uncluttered main open space, domestic kitchen, two toilets, a shower and a “green room” or break-out area.
Outside, there is a grassed area for games, picnics or pitching larger marquee. It's a short climb to the spectacular Kelston Clump.
There is a camping area with 12 levelled 5m diameter sites and one 12m diameter site. You can hire our 5m bell tents or hire in glamping services.
Roundhill Barn is off grid. There are no mains utility services. Water comes from a private borehole. Electric power and heating are supplied by hybrid solar panels with battery, ample for lights and music. The solar renewables system is not suited to power-hungry plant and equipment, but you can hire our generator (cost: £15/hour) or hire in your own. You have to remove all rubbish and leave no trace.
